2012 promises to be a fine year for new and second hand cameras.
We can look forward to:
New Flagship DSLR’s:
New Flagship compact / mirrorless:
New Fullframe Professional DSLR’s:
Canon 5D Mkiii To be announced 1st week of March
New Fullframe Rangefinder:
As well as all these exciting new camera each with their own strengths and weakness, we can also look forward to a drop in the price of second hand quality cameras. And remember it is never too late to try out Analog film photography to with great cameras of the past, that can still produce stunning photos.
The two cameras I am personally excited about it the Canon 5D Mkii replacement and the FujiFilm X Pro 1.
What are your thoughts and plans in regards to camera bodies, new or second hand in 2012?
Or are you just satisfied with what you have?

Congratulations to Steve McCurry!
Steve McCurry Photo “Afghan Girl” from his documented Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, really caught my attention, when I had seen it on the cover of National Geographic when I was younger. It was one of those magical iconic photos, that made me want to be a photographer.
Check out the links above to see his amazing body of work.

Leica has annouced it’s new sister version to the M9, the M9-p.
From what i can make of it, it features a super tough sapphire crystal anti-scratch glass with an anti-reflective coating on the glass of the viewing monitor, the iconic red dot and model number has not been added, to make the camera less obvious.
