I am looking forward to being part of, and displaying an exhibition of my “Strong Spirits” Parkour Photography.
EXPOSURE: Exploring Glasgow’s Underground Through a Lens
11th February 2018 // 5pm-10pm
The Old Hairdressers, 27 Renfield Lane, Glasgow.
Non ticket just an Entry fee: £1
All Proceeds will be donated to charity.
A pop-up, one-day exhibition which focuses on local talented photographers showing unique and innovative perspectives of the city of Glasgow through their lenses. We argue that “Underground Makes Glasgow” – that is the celebration of the different, the unseen, along with varying other aspects of the city which are not commonly witnessed.
The night was a great success with an attendance of 335.
Big thanks to @smurph77 for the photo magic in the group shot. Thank you to all who attended. Thank you to my Parkour family, my Photography peers, good friends and Instagram friends who took the time to visit and say hi.

I recently was hired by the partner of Jane, as a present for her birthday. This was a very special photo shoot on many levels. It was such a thoughtful gift, and the photos will last a lifetime and will become more precious in the passing of time.
I asked Jane what kind of photo shoot she would love. The answer was simple and a beautiful one. Jane want a mixture of portrait photos that said this is who she is at that given moment in time, and to include her love for the charm and character of Glasgow too. We discussed some of Jane’s favourite parts of Glasgow and I recommended a couple too, and off we went on Streets of Glasgow photo shoot.
In typical Glasgow style it was raining that day, but we embraced the wet streets.
With the rain now off we then made full use the overcast skies, which provided us with perfect natural light for some beautiful Portrait shots.
We then made our way towards the river Clyde, and included a bit more of Glasgow’s rich Architecture.
A big thank you to Jane Black for being such a natural and making the shoot such fun. And a big thank you to Alastair Clarkson for being so thoughtful!

Built in 1885 Scotway house in Glasgow, was originally the drawing offices of DW Henderson Shipbuilder’s.
On the 20th May 2016 it was set on fire. This breaks my heart to see yet another listed building in Glasgow being set on fire deliberately.
I was fortunate that back in 2010 the back door was open. and I went inside to document this historical gem of building, as I knew one say it would be consumed in flames in the future, as many a listed building in Glasgow that are left to rot, always do.
Some of the Iron work that had been stripped out from the internal stairway
The stunning ground floor wood and glass interior.
The dookits up in the Attic/loft
A beautiful old can of McEwan’s Export. I never took anything from inside this building, but left it as is, for the next explorer to enjoy.
I actually sat on the roof for a bit, embracing the Glasgow Clydeside skyline.
Up in the attic / loft there were superb wee paper cut outs glued to the walls, of a golden age that had past.
The sadness of anything metal, or of value had been stripped. You can see the detail of one of the Iron bannisters at the top of the page.
Despite the French styled building, designed by Bruce and Hay Architects being is awful condition even back in 2010. The light in some parts was gorgeous, and absent in other parts.
I hope this building’s shell is rescued, but i fear it was be flattened soon.
It has been more or less demolished now…
I will miss this old friend…
